First.stop.for.musicians is a new project led by Len Collins and its goal is to give aspiring musicians a forum to meet, network and discuss music.

Collins is a long established, local guitarist and teacher and he’s also the face behind the popular Guitar Breakthrough tuition videos. His motive behind setting up First.stop.for.musicians was to help his students and other solo musicians to take their practice one step further – widen the scope of their network, set up bands, learn new tricks or find out about places to play.

“It was originally set up to just help my students find other people to play with but already the people who have attended the first couple of sessions have really come away with a new found confidence.” says Collins.

“Everybody is welcome and it’s free. It’s a relaxed, non-playing environment so people don’t need to feel intimidated. Whatever your age, style or experience level, there’s bound to be someone at First.stop.for.musicians for you to talk to.”

The next meeting is set for November 21st at the Fishmarket in Northampton. Another venue that regularly holds these meetings is the Dolphin Cafe in Towcester.

For more information on dates or how to get involved whether you are a musician, teacher or venue, contact Collins on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
